Fourie Botha grew up in Bethal on the Highveld and in Nietverdiend in the Marico. He studied publishing and English at the UP and published educational books for a few years. At UCT he received an MA in English literature, as well as an MA in creative writing under tuition of Joan Hambidge.
Some of his poems were included in
Nuwe Stemme 4 and
Versindaba 2010. He works as an editor at a publishing house in Cape Town.
